This Toolkit is an online guide about how to develop a Total Reward strategy and how it can support improved service delivery in public service organisations.

A Total Reward strategy, can help you:

Extensive external research has shown that improving employee engagement and commitment will improve retention, which saves recruitment cots and leads to improved service delivery and better overall organisational performance. Implementing a Total Reward Strategy will help you achieve this.

This Toolkit uses the Hay Group Engaged Performance® model (adapted by Hay Group for the UK public Service), to help users analyse, develop and implement a Total Reward strategy that is consistent with the organisation strategy.

Addressing all the Elements of Total Reward, comprising both tangible and intangible benefits, this Toolkit offers a methodology for assessing current organisational policies and practices, pointers for action across all elements of total reward, and ideas for communicating The Total Reward package.
