The Office of the Third Sector is seeking to recruit up to four high calibre candidates to support the Chair in the provision of strategic leadership to the executive team of Capacitybuilders.
Capacitybuilders is a non-departmental public body (NDPB) which exists to create a more effective third sector and we do this by improving support for third sector organisations.
These are part time, paid public appointments. The time commitment is expected to be up to 30 days a year. Members will receive £300 a day plus expenses. The appointments will be from July 2008 until March 2011.
Successful applicants will have an understanding of the Third Sector but will also bring wider experience in other sectors.
Appointments will be made by the Minister for the Third Sector and candidates will be selected in line with the Office of the Commission for Public Appointments (OCPA) Code of Practice for Ministerial Appointments to Public Bodies.
Applications should arrive not later than noon on 25 June 2008.
