Cabinet Office seeks expressions of interest from volunteering opportunity providers

The Cabinet Office is seeking to appoint an organisation to work with the Cabinet Office HR department on a 3 year contract  to provide support for Cabinet Office staff to encourage and enable them to volunteer.

The Cabinet Office recognises the many ways in which volunteering can strengthen the capacity and skills-set of our employees and the department, whilst also benefiting communities, the environment and particular groups.

We believe that by bringing in expertise from existing volunteering providers, we can maximise the breadth and quality of opportunities available to our workforce, so they can appeal to the diverse mix of Cabinet Office staff.

The OTS is looking for organisations with a strong capability and track record of providing employee volunteering opportunities to a large number and diverse range of staff.  Further details can be found in the specification document below.

Interested organisations should complete the pre-qualification questionnaire as an initial expression of interest by 12pm Monday 23rd June and submit them to Rachel.Armstrong@cabinet-office.x.gsi.gov.uk or in hard copy to:

Rachel Armstrong
Office of the Third Sector
2nd floor, 35 Great Smith St

Following assessment of the pre-qualification questionnaires, organisations will then be invited to place a full tender. Full tenders will need to be submitted by 12pm Friday 18th July 2008.

If you have any questions about this process please email Rachel Armstrong or telephone 0207 276 6026.
