New Deputy Director joins Office of the Third Sector

James StrachanJames Strachan has been appointed as Deputy Director, Social Enterprise and Finance at the Office of the Third Sector. He will have oversight of Social enterprise policy and promotion and third sector finance policy and programmes.

James replaces Hilary Norman during her maternity leave and will take up his post in July. In the interim period, Liz Liston-Jones will be promoted to Deputy Director of Social Enterprise and Finance.

James has been Director of Public Services and Marketing at The National Archives for the last 4 years. More recently he has been seconded to lead on the 30 year rule review, which examines whether historical records can be open to the public more swiftly than is currently the case, this review reports directly to the Prime Minister.

“James will enable the OTS to continue to drive forward our agenda on social enterprise and finance policy. James's skills will complement our existing senior management team and help to deliver on our commitments to the third sector."
