Innovation Exchange seeks ideas to support excluded young people and independent living

25 March 2008

The Innovation Exchange is looking for good ideas to support excluded young people and independent living. The third sector teems with innovative solutions, but developing them can be hard.  The Innovation Exchange is working to change that by bringing innovators, investors and commissioners together in collaborative innovation.

The programme was first proposed in the public services action plan in response to the sector's concern that too often insights that could transform people's lives are lost because innovators struggle to find the advice, support and contacts they need to advance and develop their ideas

The Innovation Exchange is now issuing a call for ideas to support excluded young people and independent living. Those with the best ideas will be invited to thier Festivals of Ideas:

Attendees will have the opportunity to network with innovators, commissioners and social investors to develop and build support for their work. Participants will be supported to develop their plans during May and June and in July the best will receive dedicated support from the Exchange and a share of the £200k NESTA Innovation Exchange Fund to improve and grow their work.

If you are an innovator, investor or public service commissioner and would like the chance to be part of this process, go to the Innovation exchange website[external website].
