On the anniversary of the launch of the social enterprise action plan – Social Enterprise Day – the Office of the Third Sector has published an update on the Government's progress and achievements to date.
Launched on Social Enterprise Day 2006, the social enterprise action plan set out the Government's plans for supporting social enterprise. On Social Enterprise Day 2007, the Office of the Third Sector looks back over the past year at the hard work gone into the delivery of the action plan.
The update leaflet details progress made against the commitments in the action plan. This includes significant activity across Government departments, the Office of the Third Sector's work with strategic partners and case studies reporting on how social enterprises are changing people's lives at the grass roots level.
The leaflet also sets out future steps to build on the progress achieved so far, including steps outlined in the third sector review.
The leaflet will be distributed at all major events on Social Enterprise Day.
