Fairbridge visit to NOAH ACE project
The ACE programme stepped its learning up a notch last week with an inter-project visit on Thursday 26th June. Fran from the Bristol Fairbridge project, Vicky from the Thamesreach project, and southern region Fairbridge managers spent the day at NOAH in Luton. ACE programme manager, Nick O'Shea and policy advisor Jenny Leadley from the Cabinet Office also joined the visit.

NOAH's managing director Jim – picked the group up from the station in the NOAH mini van and took the group on a tour of NOAH's facilities, shop and social enterprise business.
Nick O'Shea, programme manager, is impressed by workshop skills being developed at NOAH.

Vicky from Thamesreach ACE pilot poses for the camera in the repair shop for NOAH's social enterprise which trades in furniture and white goods.
The day led to a real sharing of ideas and experience about working with excluded groups and developing innovative new approaches. Although the ACE pilots represented were each working with different client groups, they discussed common themes like managing caseloads, demonstrating the impact of the ACE programme and multi agency working.
Fairbridge were really impressed with what they saw of the NOAH project, particularly NOAH's impressive social enterprise business that sees volunteers and employees recycling and repairing furniture and white goods for sale in Luton.
