Details

The Cabinet Office has published an interim report on debt owed to government. The report comes from the cross-Government ‘Fraud, Error and Debt Taskforce’ - a new team set up by the Government in 2010, within six months of taking office, to get a better grip on money lost through fraud, error and debt. The taskforce has already saved £5 million for taxpayers by reducing fraud and error since 2010.
