Public Bodies Reform - quarterly status check

On 14 October 2010 the Cabinet Office Minister Francis Maude summarised plans to reform a large number of Public Bodies, or quangos, across government.

The Public Bodies Review is part of the Government’s commitment to radically increase the transparency and accountability of all public services.

The Cabinet Office Business Plan includes the commitment to publish a quarterly status check of relevant public bodies until all are confirmed as fully decommissioned, beginning in January 2011.
