Government Whips
The Government Chief Whip is the Cabinet Minister responsible for timetabling and securing the passage of Bills through the House of Commons and successfully completing the Government's legislative programme. The Chief Whip is supported by Government Ministers (Whips) who are responsible for delivering the Government's Parliamentary objectives on a daily basis. The Whips are also responsible for communicating the concerns of members to those departments to whom they have departmental responsibility.
