ITPC is changing
You may already be aware that the Infosec Training Paths and Competencies (ITPC) scheme has been working closely with the Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP) with a view to transferring ITPC operation to the IISP. This news item is to inform you that the transfer has now been agreed and will take place with effect from April 2009.

This move is in line with the drive for increased professionalism in information assurance (IA). It builds on the success of ITPC as a competency-based certification, and allows recognised progression beyond the ITPC level to Full Membership of the IISP (M.Inst.ISP).

You may already be familiar with the IISP as the professional body for IA and information security – indeed you may already be a member. However, if you are not, more details are on the IISP website at www.instisp.org.

Please read our ITPC and IISP to see how this will affect you if you are thinking of registering, registered with ITPC or a ITPC certificate holder. Registration for the ITPC scheme closes on 31st October 2008.
