ITPC assessment is now carried out in association with the Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP) – see their website at http://www.instisp.org/ [External website]
Infosec Training Paths and Competencies (ITPC) certification is specifically for information security and assurance professionals working for the UK Government and related organisations.
All those registered with ITPC who have not made their final submissions to ITPC should now follow the IISP process. All queries should be directed to the IISP.
With effect from 1 January 2009, ITPC CPD is being handled by the IISP. This is currently in line with the previous ITPC CPD process and forms. The forms and guidance notes are available from the IISP website – click on Latest News - ITPC CPD.
The ITPC certificate proves your competence and knowledge at a specified time. CPD lets you show how you have kept your competence up to date and how you have developed new skills.
The Infosec Training Paths and Competencies scheme was launched in May 2001. Until March 2009 it was run by Cabinet Office.
The ITPC certificate was awarded after formal training and a period of work experience. Certificate holders have proved that they have a sound understanding of UK Government information assurance policy and best practice, and have demonstrated a risk management approach in their work.
Only those legacy publications still of relevance to the ITPC community are included here.
