Why do we need a Secure Mobile Communications (SMC) project?

HMG customers want to make use of the latest technology – modern secure mobile communication technologies are key enablers to efficiency and effectiveness. The SMC project is looking at providing HMG with secure mobile solutions. The project is investigating the feasibility of future secure commercial-off-the shelf (COTs) mobile solutions for voice and data.
