Business as usual for Charter Mark
The Charter Mark Review report made a number of recommendations which will
be carefully considered by Government. There is now opportunity for Charter
Mark holders to give feedback on the report findings. We will advise
holders and other stakeholders of the Government's response in due
course and of any future plans of the scheme.
But for the time being it is ‘business as usual’ for Charter Mark. There
has been an increase in the number of certifications in 2006 and the
Certification Bodies have received applications from a wide range of
organisations, many considering new corporate programmes. We hope that this
will continue in the coming months.
The Government's response to the report will be published in the
Autumn. Any changes to the scheme will be announced in advance and sensible
transition arrangements put in place which will take into account the
concerns of holders.
