Greenwich Council Home Ownership

Greenwich Council's Home Ownership Service has gained the standard for the customer services it offers to leaseholders.

The Charter Mark was gained after formal assessment; found the service was enthusiastically committed to the Charter Mark ethos.

As well as recognising excellence, the Charter Mark is a way of focusing everyone in the organisation on the importance of customer service as a way of helping it to improve further. Feedback from customers and staff can also be used to improve performance further.

Richard Thompson, Greenwich Council's director for neighbourhood services, said:

'Good quality customer services is a major part of what we are about at Greenwich, which means that this is good news for both council staff and the residents who use our service.

'However, getting the Charter Mark is only the beginning. It is important that we now move forward and use what we have learned from the evaluation process to improve services even more.
